The Oregon Enduro Series held its first event in Sisters yesterday. I have never witnessed this type of mountain bike racing before but have always wanted to check it out so when I was asked a few weeks ago to photograph it for a local bike shop I made sure to save the date. With cyclists hurtling down steep hills the action was everything that I thought it would be and more.
On top of never attending an enduro event I have also never shot anything like it. After a quick google search for photos of mountain bike events like it I figured out that I would want to bring a light or two so that I could add a little extra light since there would be a lot of shadows and reflected green light. I'm really glad I did this because it made the riders stand out in the image. The whole event was so fun to shoot/watch that I'm considering getting myself a mountian bike again since I haven't had a working one for a few years.
