This weekend between all the rain showers a three game series was played here in Corvallis. Oregon State won on Friday 6-3 and on Saturday 11-5 but they had a hard time getting anything going on Sunday and lost 8-3. It was a cold and very wet weekend but with some cool late afternoon sunlight on Friday and a few sunny moments on Sunday I did manage to get a few different shots for OSU.

Oregon Duck Invitational
Today I shot the annual Duck Invitational which I thought was held at the same course every year but apparently I was wrong. As soon as I arrived at Shadow Hills Country Club I realized that there were not enough cars in the parking lot for a tournament. Luckily I have a phone that can answer most of my questions so I figured out that I needed to go to the Eugene Country Club. After quite a few wrong turns I did make it to the right course. Here are a few of the photos I took while wandering up and down the fairways.

Oregon State Gymnastics vs. Utah
Last night was the final home meet for the OSU gymnastics team. I have been pretty busy the past few days and last night during the meet all that running around caught up with me. Since I was so tired basically I found a spot for each rotation and shot the whole rotation from that one spot. Pretty uninspired form of shooting. Here is what I got.

Pro Timing Day
Today a few former OSU football players came back to Corvallis today so that some NFL scouts could get a good look at them. The players lifted some wights in the Sports Performance Center and then were timed at the indoor practice facility.

Beavers Frustrate Ducks In Civil War
Thank goodness Oregon State Baseball can still beat Oregon because I have been getting tired of the Ducks winning every Civil War this year with the exception of a couple of games. Tonight marked OSU's 5th strait win over Oregon in baseball. Here are a few pics from the night. I messed up a little on the white balance so the colors are just a bit off.

OSU Baseball vs Hartford Day 2
In the past I thought shooting "raw" was stupid unless you work for a major newspaper or company but after hearing from many photographers that I look up too talk about how great it is I thought I should give it a try. Wow! I feel like I have been missing out on something amazing. Its great having the ability to adjust little things that help make parts of a photo pop. So even thought the games today were boring because OSU just killed Hartford I was having a great time taking photos. Pretty sure I will be shooting raw for every event I cover from now on.

Baseball Home Opener
Today the Oregon State baseball team played their first home games of the year. Last night should have been the first game but rain forced the teams to wait another day before starting the series. Since I was pin-balling around from the baseball games, women's basketball game and some work I am doing for the Formula SAE team on campus I think I only shot a total of five innings of the two games OSU played. Luckily I managed to get some great frames from those five innings so it didn't really matter.

Pac-10 Wrestling Championships
Over the weekend Oregon State hosted the Pac-10 championships for wrestling. I covered the event from start to finish for the Pac-10, meaning that I had to take photos of wrestlers they wanted photos of and then shoot anything else I felt was worthy of photographing during the event. It was a long day but after I figured out a system of keeping track of the wrestlers I needed photos of things settled down and the day ended up being pretty fun.
